Soo, a while ago, a virus warning popped up on my screen, thanks to my anti-virus software, and it asked me if I wanted to quarentine, heal, or do nothing with it. So I told it to heal it, it seemed to work, and I didn't think anything more about it.

However, now my CD/DVD drive doesn't work, and after a bit of troubleshooting, windows tells me the driver for it is either misplaced or corrupted. In light of the above event, I'm leaning towards corrupted, but I'm not sure.

Problem is, I don't know how to fix a corrupted driver. At all. If you do, I would appreciate some advice and instructions.

I think I'm going to do a virus scan, and see if it comes up with it again; maybe that will help me figure out where to start, but other than utilizing my virus software in that way, I'm lost.

And it would be really nice if my CD player was working again . . . I have at least a dozen CDs I want to add to iTunes, and there was that DVD I wanted to watch and, and, and, you get the picture. Go figure, right?

Anyway, whatever help y'all can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Elowel, would you come to my benefit concert for the World Food Programme (to help stem this world food crisis) if I gave you the date, time, etc.?

Would it be possible for an admin to create a feature that allows users to select the theme of the elowel interface? We could switch back to elowel original if we wanted, or the previous theme.

Does anyone know of a simple, free program that I can use to create an ISO on a thumbdrive/other media than a optical disk? I usually use DVD Decrypter or Roxio DE, but neither of them seem to allow one to change the default destination.

Has anyone tried it? It's like ice cream, but made out of just milk. What do you think?

Is there any way to download your blog, like when kmorg crashed and we could get those txt files? Or perhaps have some kind of file emailed to you from one of the admins? I'm just thinking about the future when a) I want some "hard" copy of my blog, just to be safe, or b) I want to delete the blog from the web, yet keep a copy on my computer.

Or perhaps the option will be available in the future...?
